If you are a fan of L'Amour, Kelton, Burroughs and Grey, you'll love Haunted Falls - the much awaited sequel to the best-selling The Nations as it brings to life the American frontier!
United States Deputy Marshals, under Judge Issac Parker, The Hanging Judge, patrol the Indian Nations-the most dangerous place in the world in the late 19th century.
Marshal Bass Reeves long time partner, Jack McGann, goes undercover to ferret out some claim jumpers in the Arbuckle Mountains. He is bushwhacked and washed down the rapids and over Turner Falls. A restless spirit and a sacred white wolf send a fiery redheaded widow to nurse him back to health. Bass and his other partner, Jed Neal are sent to find the missing McGann, but are sidetracked into helping US Deputy Marshal Selden Lindsey track down Bill Dalton, the last of the old time outlaws. "Son, I only warn once...you best step aside whilst you still have a chance," Bass said softly. May God have mercy on the outlaw's souls, because the US Marshals Service and Judge Issac Parker will not. Spirits, thrills, action, Indian lore, danger, treachery, romance, tragedy, humor, the supernatural and surprises! It's all in Haunted Falls. Time to saddle up!

Just finished "Haunted Falls" & it was great. Another "Five-Star" performance Guys. In fact I flat loved it. The storyline, the mysticism, the Indian culture, the danger, the way all the different story lines paralleled, crossed & merged throughout the entire book. The history behind the Nations & Oklahoma Territory was informative, a real lesson in true history. It was great to see Bass worried about his partner, Jack, and try to track him down, all the while serving his warrants from Judge Parker. The scenes around the falls with the little girl and the white wolf were particularly so well described, I wanted to visit the spot for real. After one hell of a bumpy ride, and many criminals dead and buried, along with a few friends, it concludes with a fantastic surprise ending. And I want one of Boy's pups. Now let me get into the next one," Hell Hole".Product details

Haunted Falls The Nations Book 2 (Audible Audio Edition) Ken Farmer Buck Stienke Timber Creek Press Books Reviews
A really good story if one appreciates the Indian history and enjoys the stories of theUnited States Marshall's. They still exist today along with Texas Rangers.
The book opens with one Indian and one white Marshall on the edge of a River when they are shot. This story Has an equal amount of serious action and humor. I love the old sayings, some I haven't heard in years, as well as many new to me. An interesting, entertaining book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. Mr. Farmer writes very engaging and hugely entertaining, not to mention well researched books. But what unlike most is that he does it without resorting to lurid and gratuitous sex and with only those descriptive scenes of bloodshed that are necessary to the story.
The excitement level and entertainment were quickly enticing this reader as this story began, as anticipated. The dogs actions were somewhat less than realistic, or believable. The ghosts were more realistic than the canines, and that somehow deflated the story balloon, at least for me. Maybe I am now expecting more from these authors, based upon their other books, and it is possible that I expected too much. On the other hand, there seemed to be a canine behavioral dissonance that just was too much for me to find acceptable as compatible with the whole story.
I really enjoyed both aspects of this story and I think the spiritual side was presented in a way that blended well. I think many of you will find it very interesting.
This series get's better and better.
A " MUST READ" if western stories is your gig.
I like one of the main characters having a dog or wolf
as their constant companion, I have that relationship
with my 120 pound Rottweiler
In this day and age of zombie this and zombie that, it's refreshing to read a good story, a good western story and there are no two better folks to tell such a story than Ken Farmer and Buck Stienke. One thing is for certain when you pick up a Farmer/Stienke book--you're in for one heck of a literary ride. These two gentlemen know how to tell a good story and they are in top form in Haunted Falls. Their prose is crisp, their dialogue snappy and their characters colorful. There's plenty of action and drama in this real page-turner of a story.
It's nice to see the western genre in good hands. Well-done, gentlemen. I am looking forward to your next exciting adventure!

Ken Farmer and Buck Stienke have come up with another winner.
Often referred to as a sequel to "The Nations," "Haunted Falls" could easily stand alone on its own merits. This is western storytelling in the classic style, offering up an intriguing blend of actual history, as well as some engaging "fictioneering."
Once again, the dominant character is Bass Reeves, a former slave who became the first black Deputy United States Marshal west of the Mississippi, whose courage and uprightness are mirrored in the characters of his companions. This is classic good guys and bad guys storytelling, with a subtle seasoning of spirituality. It's a great read that pulls the reader along at a breakneck pace. One note to self-styled "tough guy" readers you might want to have a tissue handy when you read the epilogue.
