I am such a fan of Kat Ward and have read all of her books. Her story is a sad one, but she is an excellent writer and has an uncanny ability to pull her readers in as though we're right there with her. I find myself alternately cheering and cringing, as it seems the system that should be helping her and seeing the turmoil she's in, is so hell bent against her and refuses to give her a fair shake. She is unfairly judged at nearly every turn.This edition, Keri 7, just came out this weekend, and I had to buy it! Read it in one sitting, and as always, couldn't put it down. Reading about Kat's struggles as a young mother with no help or guidance from family was so sad, especially knowing that the true source of her parenting struggles and lack of a natural mothering instinct stemmed from the hateful, spiteful mother and horrendous home environment she was raised in. (If you haven't read the first 6 Keri books, you really need to before judging or condemning her.)
It was sad to read how Kat kept taking Mac back no matter how badly he treated and disrespected her. He seemed incapable of love, and reminded me alot of my ex-husband. You could tell how heartbroken she was when she finally forced herself to walk away from him.
This edition covered only the short time period from Kat's release from prison, her struggles with her difficult infant/toddler daughter, Andromeda, the birth of her daughter, Kae, up to the time Kae turned 2, and her tumultuous relationship with Mac, until Kat moved out of the house she shared with him when the police were out looking for him. I'm still curious about Kat's other children and relationships, and if she has anything to do with her Nana, mother, or brother. Maybe those are things she would prefer to keep to herself, but if not, I hope there will be another sequel! (Kim Miller)

Kat Ward is my favorite author! Another stellar addition to the collection.
This entire series of books held me spell bound. Kate is such a courageous women. I do hope to see another book though to let us know about Kate, Andromeda, Her other children and of course Kat herself.
Keri's writing is so absorbing. I feel like I could read every moment of her life. Even after reading all of her books, I feel so disappointed when I reach the end. Keri- thank you for sharing so many intimate details of your life. I am sorry for all the pain that you have been through and I wish for happiness to find you!
I seriously hate that Keri's story ends here. I have so many questions. I feel like we are friends! Did she ever see her mother or Nana again? Did she ever find out what happened to Tramp? Please another book! All the Keri books are riveting and I can't put them down. Her journey from an abused child is incredible!
Each time she comes out with a new book I start back at book one and reread them all. I must admit, I get as engrossed in each book as if it was the first time reading it. Her writing methods grab hold of you and walk you through her life as a silent friend... Routing for her, crying with her, feeling joyous through her triumphs. She is hands down my favorite author.
